The UAE Ministry of Interior said Operation Confrontation Ghost, run from July through September with law enforcement from 30 countries, INTERPOL and the Global Anti-Scam Alliance, went after AI-enabled and cross-border financial fraud.
The ministry reported more than 960 arrests, raids on 29 fraud centres and over $39 billion in linked funds and crypto identified. Its 13 private-sector partners include Mastercard, Meta, Group-IB, Trend Micro, Feedzai and Crypto.com. These are the government’s own figures.
