Ownership & Funding

Who owns IgniteIt Cybersecurity, how it makes money, and what that means for what you read here.

Ownership

IgniteIt Cybersecurity is owned and published by IgniteIt Inc., a privately held events and media company. It has no outside investors in the publication, no institutional ownership, and no parent company beyond IgniteIt itself.

IgniteIt also produces commercial conferences. That is a real conflict and we manage it by disclosure: where we cover a company that sponsors, exhibits at, or speaks at an IgniteIt event, we say so in the story.

How we make money

  • Advertising and sponsorship — newsletter and display placements, sponsored research, webinars.
  • Press release placement — paid, labelled, non-editorial.
  • Events — registration, sponsorship and exhibit space.
  • Data products — subscription access to our benchmark and company data.

We do not take affiliate commissions on products we write about. We do not sell any product in our coverage area. We are not paid by any company for favourable coverage, and no such arrangement is available at any price.

Funding

IgniteIt Cybersecurity is funded by IgniteIt’s operations. It has not received grants, foundation funding, or investment from any company in the industry it covers.

Staff interests

Staff disclose financial holdings in companies they cover and recuse themselves where a holding is material. Staff do not accept paid travel, gifts or honoraria from companies in our coverage area.
